From the aquatic park beach to the first buoy in the bay, then back, then one lap parallel to the beach to the flag, then back.
I'm not used to going out of cove yet, so the transition from the slack of the cove to the rough waters beyond the pier is still very impressive. Turning around the buoy is a great moment, as you immediately realize how far from the beach you now are. There was some current (2knots) but it was 90deg of the course, so crabbing on the way back worked just fine. There was a sea lion popping its head from time to time; it seemed to enjoy the place because I was still able to spot it from time to time after I reached the beach.
