Rantanen hat trick rallies Stars past Avs in G7
Mikko Rantanen scored three goals in the third period, and the Dallas Stars utilized a furious rally to advance to the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs, defeating the Colorado Avalanche 4-2 in Game 7 on Saturday night at American Airlines Center.

Sources: Hurricanes add Rantanen in blockbuster
The deal sees Mikko Rantanen and Taylor Hall go to Carolina, and Martin Necas, Jack Drury and draft picks go to Colorado. Chicago acquired its own 2025 third-round pick that it had traded to Carolina previously.

Avs sign captain Gabriel Landeskog to 8-year deal
Avalanche general manager Joe Sakic said in a statement Tuesday, "We are thrilled to have our captain signed to a long-term deal. Gabe is the heart and soul of this team and an integral part of our organization both on the ice and in the community. He's the consummate leader, a great teammate, and alongside (Nathan) MacKinnon and (Mikko) Rantanen, is part of what has been one of the NHL's best lines over the past four seasons.
