Corey Perry walked into the locker room after his 164th career NHL playoff game and 19th with the Montreal Canadiens and told his teammates to savor the experience. It would have been far more enjoyable for the Canadiens had they won, which they probably deserved by outplaying the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final. Instead, they showed they could hang with the defending champions but still trail the series 2-0 and go home to Montreal needing to win one of Games 3 and 4 to avoid a sweep and the end of their season.

'Champa Bay' celebrates pro third title in less than a year
The Tampa Bay Lightning won its second straight Stanley Cup title on Wednesday night, defeating the Montreal Canadiens 1-0 to give a region becoming known as Champa Bay its third professional sports title in less than a year. A raucous crowd of more than 18,000 packed Amalie Arena, while thousands more gathered outside to celebrate after being forced to follow the team’s entire 2020 NHL playoff run from afar due to the coronavirus pandemic. Fans stood for the final two minutes of goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy's fifth consecutive shutout in a series-clinching win, cheering, snapping pictures and recording video on cellphones.
