READ MORE: https://pawoo.net/@French_tip_nail
You know that feeling when the air has a crispness to it in the morning, but by 2pm you’re wishing you were wearing a t-shirt and shorts? Dressing for fall when it’s hot out can be such a challenge. There’s that weird in-between weather you have to navigate while still wearing things that feel right for the season.

Getting dressed for a day like that can be a true challenge. Should you wear a jacket? Do you still wear sandals? There’s a lot you can do but also still feel like you’re tapping into fall fashion without dying from the heat. I’m all about strategic layers.

Opting for shorts but wearing a boot or suede loafer. Or choosing jeans and a fall hued tank top. You just have to think about the season in a new way until we truly commit to real fall temperatures. Here’s how to do get dressed when transitioning from summer to fall the right way.
How To Dress For Fall When It’s Hot
When going from summer to fall, this time of year can be a real challenge wardrobe-wise. I’m here to help solve that problem for you! When thinking about how to dress for fall when it’s still warm weather outside, think about these tips next time you’re staring at your closet and asking Google what the temperature is outside.
Go For A Fall Color Scheme
You can 100% get away with wearing more summer-like items if they’re at least in a fall colorway. Think burgundy, hunter greens, browns and navy.
These colors feel like fall, so if you’re wearing a t-shirt dress in one of these colors, you’re already half way there. A great way to do this too when it’s super hot out is to grab those summer favorites like an eyelet dress but in a fall color.
Embrace The Tank Tops
I think the best thing for fall is a great tank top. This look is a perfect way to embrace the season of fall with summer temperatures. The tank is in a fall color palette, I’ve added suede shoes but I’m not dying from heat! Tanks also make a great piece for layering. Head to the next tip to learn why!
Choose Light Layers
When it’s freezing in the morning but hot in the afternoon, light layers are your best friend. This is why I love a great tank underneath any kind of jacket. Leather jacket, suede jacket, utility jacket or even just a cardigan.
By keeping something super lightweight and ideal for hot weather underneath your more fall-inspired layer, you give yourself the wiggle room to get a little relief from the heat. They add enough warmth without going crazy with a full-on jacket.
Personally, I love a great utility jacket or dark denim jacket. They’re light enough to wear all day but feel appropriate for the time of year.
Add In Fall Accessories
You can wear shorts and a tee but still look like you’re ready for fall if you add in all the right fall accessories. Add a suede shoe or belt. Swap your summer bag out for something more fall-inspired in a fabric like suede or shearling. Little nods to the season can make all the difference in transforming your simple summer outfit.
Opt For Dresses
The trick I’ve been using the most, great dresses. I’ve been taking my go-to summer dresses and toning them down for fall. Add a suede jacket or cropped trench over them for a quick fall switch. There are so many great fall outerwear layers to add to dresses.
Swap your sandals for a boot or loafer. Just keep in mind what kind of fall dress you are wearing. Not all of them will work so definitely keep your true summer dresses (anything linen or eyelet) stored once the season officially switches over.
But I love a great dress since they let you stay cool thanks to showing some leg or the breezy silhouettes! You can easily incorporate your new fall accessories to make them feel refreshed for the season.
Warm Weather Fall Outfit Ideas
This combination is so easy for the weekends. It’s one of my favorite combos to wear. Instead of wearing your shorts with sandals or sneakers, opt for boots, booties or loafers. Ballet flats and Mary Janes are also a great swap. Again, when you think of your color scheme, go for fall hues when possible to really lean into the fall vibes even if it’s warm out.
Just take some of your favorite dresses and pop an easy light layer and fall shoe. Voila, fall outfit without dying from the heat. From your favorite black cotton dress paired with a blazer and Chelsea boot, or a fall hued floral mini with fall accessories, your dresses are your best friend on those warm fall days.
This is such a great way to not only look the part for fall, but also pull a nice outfit together. A third piece like a jacket or cardigan makes an outfit feel so much more put together. Whether you do a utility jacket or leather one, or a light cardigan or wrap, you’ll easily transform any look for fall with this trick. Bomber jackets and leather jackets are also a great option to add to your looks for those warm fall outfits.
When you choose fall colors, you instantly look like fall. Even if you’re wearing a short sleeve top, or mini dress. These looks perfectly resemble my style come fall when it’s hot out. Fall booties and leopard prints, but still keeping things light so you can stay cool.
Mini skirts are one of my favorite things for those warmer fall days. I’m just all about the bare legs whenever possible to avoid over heating. And this is a fun change of pace from all the shorts we’ve been wearing all summer long.
Many of these style rules still apply. Opt for fall hues and fabrics, and add third pieces to make these looks feel complete. You can always peel off layers as the day warms up.
I am a firm believer that once the seasons change, it is time to start to change the outfits. And I hope these outfit ideas and styling tips give you some ideas on how to transition your looks from summer to fall even if it’s warm out. It’s all about the fall vibes even if you’re still wearing a pair of shorts and a tank top. It’s easy to do, and will get you ready for the fall season.

But have you thought about putting a splash of citrus into your pedicure services? Not only are lemons, limes, oranges and grapefruit the perfect addition to summer recipes, but they also provide a number of benefits to the skin—and the spirit—when added to foot care products.

Due to their acidity, citrus fruits are effective skin cleansers. Their juices have antiseptic and antibacterial properties, meaning they destroy germs, inhibit the growth of microorganisms on the skin and reduce the possibility of infection. The juices and scents of citrus fruits can also have an energizing, uplifting and refreshing effect on a person’s skin and mindset. So as you start to gear up for warmer days, try introducing some citrus pedicure options into your service menu. The purifying, revitalizing results from citrus-themed treatments are the perfect antidote to tired feet, and a great way to welcome summer cheer into the salon.
Make Custom-Made Citrus Products
Provide clients with a unique citrus-themed service by creating your own citrus products! Your clients will love receiving a customized product and service that is all-natural, fresh and made just for them. Here are five basic recipes for homemade pedicure products that will give your clients’ feet an invigorating treat. Look for these ingredients at grocery stores, natural markets and drug stores.
1. Refreshing Citrus Soak
Dissolve 6 tablespoons of epsom salt in a pedicure tub filled with warm water. Mix in two or three drops of any citrus essential oil, as well as fresh lemon, lime and orange slices.
2. Purifying Grapefruit Scrub
Combine 1 cup of sugar, 1 cup of olive oil and four drops of grapefruit essential oil, as well as the juice and pulp of half of a small grapefruit.
3. Moisturizing Orange Mask
In a food processor, pulse 1 cup of rolled oats until it becomes a fine powder. Combine the oat powder with 1/4 cup of food-grade cocoa butter, 4 tablespoons of honey and the juice of half of an orange.
4. Soothing Lime Lotion
Add three or four drops of lime essential oil to 12 ounces of your favorite unscented lotion or cream. For a soothing massage lotion, also add 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
5. Invigorating Lemon Mist
Pour 1 cup of distilled water, 1/4 cup of vodka, 1/2 teaspoon of tea tree oil, two drops of lemon essential oil and 3 teaspoons of fresh lemon juice into a spray bottle. Shake contents to combine.
Have Fun With Your Recipes, but Keep This in Mind:
Experiment with these ingredients until you reach the textures, consistencies and scents that you desire. Feel free to swap out or blend citrus fruits and oils in each recipe, replace the olive oil with jojoba, almond or grape seed oil, or try introducing a drop of energizing peppermint essential oil into the mix.
Though you should have fun experimenting with your recipes, there are a few things you should keep in mind when creating homemade pedicure products. First, essential oils are concentrated and potent, so be sure to use them sparingly, measuring drop by drop. Never apply undiluted essential oils directly to the skin; doing so could cause irritation. Also, because these recipes contain natural ingredients, most of them are not suitable for long-term storage.
Let's Put it All Together: Citrus-Themed Spa Pedicure Tutorial
Whether you choose to create your own homemade products or choose to purchase citrus-infused products, your clients won’t be able to resist this juicy summer service. Follow the steps below to perform an uplifting citrus-themed spa pedicure:
Offer your client a citrus beverage upon arrival. Try adding some club soda to lemonade or grapefruit juice for a fizzy pick-me-up.
Make sure all of your equipment and surfaces are properly cleaned, sanitized and disinfected. Spray your hands and your client’s feet with citrus-scented sanitizing liquid or gel.
Soak your client’s feet for 5 to 10 minutes in a cool or warm footbath with citrus bath crystals or foot soak.
Smooth your client’s calluses, push back her cuticles and file her toenails.
Exfoliate your client’s feet by rubbing them with a foot scrub that contains citrus. Rinse off the scrub, and remove any remnants with a damp cloth.
Spread a citrus foot mask over your client’s feet and ankles. Wrap each foot in a towel or pedicure sock. After 5 to 10 minutes, remove the foot covering and wipe off the mask with a warm, damp towel.
Perform a foot and ankle massage with lotion or massage cream containing citrus.
Prep and then polish your client’s toenails with a lacquer that’s the color of lime, lemon, orange or grapefruit.
After the polish dries, finish the pedicure by spraying your client’s feet with a citrus mist or spray.
Personalize this revitalizing citrus service to meet your clients’ needs. For example, create “citrus refresher” mini-services for clients who don’t have the time or money to indulge in spa pedicure services. Or combine the service above with a citrus spa manicure to create a pampering “citrus escape” package. After experiencing your citrus services, your clients will leave the salon feeling refreshed and ready to jump feet first into summer!

What's The Difference? Clarifying Commonly Confused Nail Terms
READ MORE: https://www.blockdit.com/french_tip_nail_art
You probably know the essential differences between the products and nails terms you use in the salon every day — like soft gel versus hard or LED light versus UV. But could you provide a clear explanation to a curious client? And what about those fuzzy terms that can mean different things to different people? Here's a terminology "cheat sheet" we hope will help keep us all on the same page.

What's The Difference? Clarifying Commonly Confused Nail Terms
Acetone Vs. Non-Acetone Removers
READ MORE: https://gab.com/Frenchtipnailart
As you would expect, acetone-based removers contain the solvent acetone. According to industry scientist doug Schoon, the most common non-acetone polish and product removers contain ethyl acetate or methyl ethyl ketone. All three of these solvents can temporarily dry the nail plate with overuse and all are equally safe, he says.
Acetone-based removers will work more quickly and efficiently, which is ideal in the salon setting. Non-acetone polish removers will increase removal time.
Gel Vs. Acrylic
Gel and acrylic are actually both chemically a part of the acrylic family. This is why you will hear some educators and other industry professionals refer to acrylic as liquid-and-powder or monomer and polymer. By using the terms "gel" or "liquid-and-powder," you designate the product you are using within the acrylic family. Soft gel is similar to liquid-and-powder in that both can be removed by soaking. Hard gel fives the additional benefits described on the next page, but is viewed as a more permanent option.
What to tell clients: "Let's take alook at the condition of your natural nails along with your lifestyle and activities to choose the ideal coating for your nails. Liquid-and-powder isa great option if you’re very hard on your nails and gel is ideal if you’re frequently exposed to solvents through excessive hand washing, using hand sanitizer, cleaning, and so on.”
Hard Gel Vs. Soft Gel
A hard gel is meant to be a permanent enhancement that is solvent resistant. This means that removal consists of filing it down to a very thin layer and allowing the remnant to grow off. A soft gel is meant to give you the crystal clarity of a hard gel with the option of a soak-off removal. Both may be used with tips, over forms, or as a natural nail overlay.
What to tell clients: “If you are looking for an enhancement and you are willing to make a commitment to upkeep, hard gel is a great solventresistant option. Should you have something more temporary in mind, or plan to wear gloves diligently for housework, gardening, and other activities, a soft gel will work well.”
Traditional Polish Vs. Longer-Wear Polish
No-cure longer-wear polishes are hybrids, combining traditional polish ingredients with a small amount of gel ingredients. The polish portion dries normally, hardening as the solvent evaporates; the gel portion is slowly cured over time as the nails are exposed to sunlight. The key difference here is usually wearability and in some cases dry time. A traditional polish is exactly that, the standard twoto four-day wear we were used to in the past. The longer-wear polishes are more a five- to sevenday option and tend to chip less on toes, giving pedicures four-to-six weeks of wear. Many of the longwear polishes also have improved dry times, making them more salon and DIY friendly.
LED Vs. UV Lamps
The lamps commonly referred to as UV lamps use compact florescent bulbs. UV stands for “ultraviolet,” which is a wavelength beyond which human eyes can see. LED stands for “light emitting diode,” which refers to the type of bulb an LED lamp uses. Both bulbs will emit some amount of UV depending on the components of the lamp as well as the bulb used. The wavelength on LED lights is much narrower than that of the UV/compact fluorescent lights, which is why LED-curable gels cure faster in LED lights than in UV lights.
What to tell clients: “Both styles of professional nail lamp are safe. The LED-style bulb puts out a little more UV to offer a faster cure so you have time to add on those designs you’ve been admiring!”
Cuticle Vs. Eponychium
Cuticle is the transparent tissue that is adhered to the surface of the nail plate. It is a waxy film that can block adhesion of nail coatings. Commonly mistaken for the cuticle, the eponychium is the underside of the proximal nail fold, which is the fold of skin at the base of the nail.
What to tell clients: “Just so you are aware, right now I am removing your cuticle — dead tissue on the surface of the nail plate that can safely be removed. This ridge of skin here at the base of your nail is called the proximal nail fold and the underside is called the eponychium — neither of which should be cut or removed as they are living tissue. We have a wonderful cream you can use at home to reduce the excess skin and achieve a healthy look.”

The Perfect Natural Nail Kit
If you want to provide the healthiest natural manicure and pedicure services, using the right tools is a must. For pedicures, toenail trimmers are crucial implements. A straight blade toenail trimmer is a great basic tool for trimming the straight edge of natural nails, as well as for work on toes, while a crescent-shaped toenail trimmer can be a good option for the toughest pedicure clients. Another necessary tool for pedicures is a foot file to smooth away tough dead skin and calluses.

To deal with cuticles, you’ll need a pusher for lifting cuticle tissue from the nails, and a nipper for trimming excess cuticle. A curved cuticle shear can also be helpful for carefully removing dead skin from the toenails or fingernails. Cleaning under the nails is another important part of nail prep. A curette or scoop is a multi-purpose tool that can be used for cleaning under the free edge as well as removing lifted cuticle from the nail plate. It’s also useful for removing debris and buildup from under the big toenail. A double-sided ingrown nail file is another helpful tool. It can be used to get in close and correct potential ingrown nails.
Tools included in the natural nail kit:
Cuticle nipper
Cuticle shear
Straight blade toenail trimmer
Crescent-shaped toenail trimmer
Pusher
Foot file
Ingrown nail file
Curette
The Perfect Gel Kit
Assembling a good kit of tools for your gel and gel-polish manicures will help ensure you get the best adhesion and easiest removal. Every gel manicure starts out with good prep. That means you’ll need a good pusher and nipper for removing cuticle from the nail surface and a nail cutter for trimming the natural nail. A curette or scoop for cleaning under the free edge is also useful. Once you’re ready to apply your products, several tools can help make your life easier. A shear is perfect for cutting gel forms, and you can use an acrylic nipper to trim excess gel from an enhancement. Use tweezers to apply tips to prepared nails. A spatula is a great tool for mixing gel colors.
Tools included in the gel kit:
Pusher
Spatula
Acrylic nipper
Tweezers
Cuticle nipper
Toenail cutter
Scoop
Shear
The Perfect Acrylic Kit
Like any service, an acrylic service requires good prep tools such as a nipper for cuticle removal and a scoop for cleaning under the free edge. There are other specific tools that will make your acrylic services easier. Straight tweezers are the best tool for pinching acrylic forms to achieve the perfect contour. Use a tip cutting shear to trim long plastic tips. Some tools are available in a convenient combined form. A combo pusher with a point end can be used both to push back cuticle for prep and to check for product lifting. An angled pusher and smile line tool can be used for smile lines as well as nail prep. A double spring acrylic nipper can be better for removing old acrylic because the double spring offers more bounce back.
Tools included in the acrylic nail kit:
Double spring acrylic nipper
Cuticle nipper
Tweezers
Tip cutting shear
Scoop
Crescent shaped toenail trimmer
Combo pusher and point
Angled pusher and smile line tool with pterygium removing knife
The Perfect Nail Art Add‐Ons
For nail art lovers, tools can help you apply great nail designs. A pusher/point combo tool can be used for detailed art with nail colors, marble effects, streaking work, or tie-dye effects. Straight tweezers are great for applying nail art elements such as gems. Extra-fine straight scissors will make it easier to cut nail art tape or decals. Large tip tweezers can also make it easier to apply decals.
Tools included in the nail art add-ons:
Pusher/point combo
Straight nail art applicator tweezers
Extra-fine straight scissors
Large tip decal tweezers

French tip nail art remains a staple in the beauty world, beloved for its understated elegance. The traditional design mimics the natural nail's coloration but with a more defined white tip. Today's artists experiment with double French tips, swirled patterns, or even textured finishes. Some opt for a barely-there look with ultra-thin lines, while others go bold with chunky glitter tips. This versatile style adapts to current trends while maintaining its classic charm, making it a perennial favorite in salons worldwide.
