Ramazan Abdulaev back in top form with victory in Astana
In the final for men U66kg Gusman Kyrgyzbayev’s will to win would be tested to its maximum. Ramazan Abdulaev (IJF) already has 4 grand slam gold medals and he would very much like a fifth. At the halfway point Kyrgyzbayev was down two penalties to one and the crowd were increasing their volume as if to lend him some extra strength but Abdulaev was unfazed and threw with a stunning ko-soto-gari for waza-ari. He held his nerve and his ground to the end of the allotted time to claim the fifth title he had come for. Abdulaev is among the five players who won two World Tour events this year. Inal Tasoev, Dzhafar Kostoev, Amandine Buchard and Szofi Ozbas.

JO 2024 - Judo. Pas de demi-finale pour Walide Khyar en -66kg, qui visera le bronze
Le judoka français Walide Khyar n’a pas su rééditer son exploit des 8es de finale dans la catégorie des -66kg des Jeux olympiques de Paris 2024. Ce dimanche 28 juillet, le Tricolore a été dominé en quart de finale face au Kazakhstanais Gusman Kyrgyzbayev.

JO 2024 - Judo. Exploit de Walide Khyar qui élimine le numéro 2 mondial en 8es de finale des -66kg
Dans la catégorie des -66kg, le Français Walide Khyar a créé la sensation en éliminant le Géorgien Vazha Margvelashvili, numéro 2 mondial ce dimanche 28 juillet. Le judoka tricolore se retrouve donc en quart de finale où il affrontera le Kazakhstanais Gusman Kyrgyzbayev pour se rapprocher d’une médaille.

Yago Abuladze first Russian World Champion this century
What a surprising tournament at the first day of the World Championships in Budapest were some of the favourites suffered an early defeat but some warriors survived the shift and showed their form despite all the pressure on their shoulders. The final for men U60kg was between Gusman Kyrgyzbayev (KAZ) and Yago Abuladze (RJF). Both athletes were seeded in Budapest but not the usual suspects for the final.

Khyar ne disputera pas la finale
Jusqu'à présent auteur d'un parcours parfait à Budapest lors des Championnats du monde avec trois succès par ippon, Walide Khyar est tombé sur un os en demi-finales. Le Kazakh Gusman Kyrgyzbayev s'est en effet imposé face au Français sur waza-ari. Khyar peut néanmoins essayer de se consoler...

Khyar dans le dernier carré
Mené en début de match par l'Azerbaïdjanais Karamat Huseynov, Walide Khyar est parvenu à renverser la situation pour s'imposer et se qualifier ainsi pour les demi-finales du Championnat du monde organisé à Budapest. Il y sera opposé au Kazakh Gusman Kyrgyzbayev.
