Hurricanes expected to sign Tony DeAngelo after Rangers split
The Carolina Hurricanes are finalizing a one-year contract with former Rangers defenseman and lightning rod Tony DeAngelo, DailyFaceoff.com reported Tuesday. There was reportedly significant interest around the league for the offensive defenseman, who had a tulmultous ending to his time in New York. The Rangers placed DeAngelo, 25, on unconditional waivers for the purpose of buying out the final year of his two-year, $9.6 million pact.
